DAN L. LAWRENCE

Leadership / Organizational Effectiveness Consultant

Dan L. Lawrence is a leadership and organizational effectiveness advisor with more than 25 years of experience helping organizations strengthen performance, communication, accountability, and leadership execution. He has served more than 150 organizations across industries, including construction, engineering, and other complex business environments where alignment and execution matter.

A Harvard alumnus with senior leadership experience in the corporate sector, and currently completing a Doctor of Business Administration in Organizational Leadership at the University of Dallas, Dan brings both business discipline and practical insight to his consulting work. Over the course of his career, he has worked with many leading organizations such as Clark Construction, Hensel Phelps, Flatiron, AECOM, URS, Caterpillar, D.R. Horton, and Penhall Company. He is especially experienced in supporting construction, engineering, and other complex organizations where leadership alignment and strong execution are essential.

Dan works with executives and organizations seeking stronger leadership, clearer communication, better accountability, and lasting organizational improvement. His goal is to help leaders and teams achieve meaningful, sustainable results in a demanding and fast-changing business environment.

Beyond his consultancy:

In addition to his consulting work, Dan serves as an Adjunct Professor at SMU’s Cox School of Business and Lyle School of Engineering, where he has taught since 2020. He was recognized as Professor of the Year in 2022 for his contributions to the academic community. Known for helping emerging professionals and future leaders think, speak, and write at a high level, he combines strong academic grounding with practical, real-world experience.
